I now realize that my post may have been a little confusing for those unfamiliar with the terms "mstied" and mst3k and the show Mystery Science Theater 3000 that they refer to.

(mst3k is just an abbreviation for the show's name, and "mstied" describes the riffing treatment they gave to films.)

To sum up, it was a show that had fun with movies that ranged from awful to not especially good. (Making fun of the movies was only one element in what they did. Mostly, they used the films as a platform from which to launch their jokes.)

Some of you may be fans of mst like me, who are interested or have some nefarious use for films merely because they were featured on mst. Some of you may take the fact that a film rated a showing on MST as a reason to flee in horror, some of you may take it a sign that you'll get some perverse pleasure from the movie. (And they're are fans of mst in both of those camps.)

For more info, try http://www.mst3kinfo.com/mstfaq/basics.html or google. Asking me might help if you pose a well formed question out of genuine curiosity.
